Proud Nerds came about in 2017, when four companies joined forces: Masc, Roquin, Netcreators and Riff Online, a group of developers from Nijmegen and Arnhem. Today it is a digital development agency of more than sixty people, working from the Splendorfabriek in Nijmegen.
People first
The agency calls itself "the tech partner that puts people first". It builds software, websites, platforms, apps and AI, and every project starts by understanding the client's organisation and its users, before anything is designed or built.
Its work is grouped in five areas: strategy, user experience, digital product development, AI services and digital innovations. Clients come from healthcare, leisure, sport and fashion, manufacturing, government and social services, in the Netherlands and abroad.

In April 2019 Isatis Group took a minority stake in Proud Nerds.
