In 2027 Isatis turns forty. What started in Wijchen in 1987 is now a family of 17 independent tech companies in nine cities and five countries, still run from Nijmegen. And the family is about to grow: three new companies will be announced soon.
It started as PPC
Aljosja Vos set up the company in September 1987, under the name PPC: Partners in Professional Computing. Jack van Poll joined in 1989 as a developer and became a shareholder a year later. As IT people, they wrote the software for every company they started.
Later the company moved from Wijchen to the Oranjesingel in Nijmegen, and in 1995 into a building of its own on the Javastraat, in the green and close to the city centre.
From one company to a group
In 2007 the name changed to Isatis Group, and the company became a group of tech companies. Some were started from within, others joined later. Each kept its own name, team and culture.
In 2015 the group moved into the former SNS bank building on the Keizer Karelplein. That same year Jack van Poll was named Nijmegen Entrepreneur of the Year.
“Thanks in part to companies like Isatis Group, Nijmegen is increasingly seen as a city of IT and innovation.”

Building, selling, starting again
Not every company stays. Energieleveranciers.nl and Energievergelijken.nl were sold in 2018, and in 2021 Isatis Health became part of Mosadex as Mosadex E-health. At the same time new names joined: Isatis Online Results became Tomahawk, Isatis took a stake in Proud Nerds in 2019, and VETTS, Plugz, Biomed Elements, STS Group and Focus joined in 2023 and 2024.
“Building companies together: that is what we believe in.”
