A festival lasting several days, with a campsite, supermarkets, beer gardens, food courts and dozens of bars. How do you make sure every visitor sees the right information at the right moment, without noise or chaos? That is the question Focus answers. The company from Boxmeer connects brands and visitors at events with hardware and software. It is active at more than 80 leading festivals and events in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany.
Three ways in
Focus works with three business units. Focus App gives every event its own page: timetables, maps, practical information, photos and video, games and push notifications, all in one place. Focus Signage, by Stikx, places screens at the busiest spots: behind the bars, at food areas, information points and queues, with menus, safety messages and festival information. Focus Brands brings in national and regional brands, so events earn extra income without having to find partners themselves.
110 screens at Defqon.1
At Defqon.1, Focus Signage was there all week with 110 screens and an on-site support team. From the campsite supermarket to the beer gardens, house rules, information and offers were shared in real time, and campers were guided straight to the click-and-collect desks. No printing, no mistakes, no improvising.
A whole city in one app
Koningsdag in Arnhem is free to enter, so the organisers know little about their audience. Focus built the Koningsdag Arnhem app: timetable, artists, map, practical information and games in one place, promoted with banners and QR codes across the city. Screens at bars and squares showed price lists, maps and information about the cup system. Sponsors NordVPN and Saily linked their brand to the app and its games, with prizes and rewards. The result: more than a million seconds of attention in the app.
“Sponsors were not just seen, but also played and shared.”
