What they do

STS (Surface Technology Services) focuses on making thermal spray processes more accessible through collaboration and knowledge sharing. Its services include the development and production application of engineered coatings, the supply of advanced coating equipment and consumables, and technical support and knowledge transfer.

The group currently consists of three companies: FST (Flame Spray Technologies), which manufactures thermal spray systems, equipment and consumables; EPC (Engineered Performance Coatings), offering coating services for aerospace, oil & gas, renewable energy and other niche markets; and Accentus Medical, specialising in coating application services for the medical market.

The headquarters is in Duiven, the Netherlands, with facilities in Grand Rapids (USA) and two in the United Kingdom. STS is actively looking for like-minded businesses to join its growing group.
